I get it.
Valentine’s Day often comes with societal pressure to spend the day in a romantic relationship, but the truth is love, can take so many forms—and self-love is one of the most beautiful and empowering forms there is.
As a single woman, you have the opportunity to celebrate yourself, create your own joy, and make Valentine’s Day about everything that makes you happy.
No, it’s not silly.
I remember a Valentine’s Day a few years ago when I decided to spend it entirely on my own terms because I was single.
Instead of feeling sad or left out, I turned it into a day of indulgence and discovery.
I started with a long morning walk, bought myself a bouquet of fresh flowers, and treated myself to a decadent dinner at a cozy restaurant I’d been wanting to try.
I spent the night reading a scary book that was super immersive and fun!
It wasn’t just a day—it was an experience, a reminder that I am enough.
So, whether you’re embracing your independence, recharging your energy, or simply enjoying your own company, here are 45 ways to make Valentine’s Day special, memorable, and entirely yours.
1. Have a Spa Day at Home
Transform your bathroom into a luxurious spa.
Light candles, play calming music and treat yourself to a face mask, a bubble bath, and a mani-pedi.
Where I stay, we can place a request online and people will come home and give you a spa session.
2. Write a Love Letter to Yourself
Reflect on everything you admire about yourself. Write down moments that you’re super proud of and talk about your goals for the next few months. Talk about what you’re working on.
I have a post on how to write a future letter to yourself here.
Write it down in a heartfelt letter and keep it as a reminder of your self-worth.
3. Cook Your Favorite Meal
Experiment with a new recipe or make your favorite dish.
I love lasagne and it’s a big dish to prepare – so I love spending the whole morning gathering ingredients and just working on all the different sauces individually while using my whole kitchen.
Or if you want something simple, just make a plate of some delicious pasta!
Set the table with candles and enjoy a delicious meal made with love—for you.
4. Take Yourself on a Solo Movie Date

You can also book someone to get it professionally done – this way you’ll have some professionally shot photos of yourself.
9. Declutter and Refresh Your Space
Take the day to tidy up and organize your home.
Maybe even do your closet?

Decluttering can be therapeutic, and it’ll leave you feeling accomplished and refreshed.
