I’ve always loved my lips.
But as I touched my thirties, I noticed my lips get slightly thinner and duller.
At first, I wasn’t worried.
I was content overlining my lips a little.
But I wanted a better solution.
A lot of lip-plumpers are frauds and downright lie. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to tell which ones actually work unless they’re tried and tested.
This is what this post is about!
I’ve actually tried and tested these and I know for a fact that they give results.
These are the only 5 I recommend.

Type: Liquid and Shimmery; Colors I tried: Clair and Gabby
Because this is a small business, I was initially hesitant to try this but I was DEFINITELY STUNNED after seeing the results.
The formula contains plumping peptides and Vitamins A and E, so it’s very moisturizing for sure.
Yes, it tingles but it doesn’t sting – which I love.
And what I love about this brand is that it doesn’t dry out the lips.
The only cons are that its smell is a little strong and it’s a little sticky when applied but the stickiness goes away in a while.
It doesn’t remain in stock so please purchase 2 bottles when buying.
2. BUXOM Power Line Plumping Lip Liner, Long Lasting and Retractable Lip Liner, Moisturizing with Peptides and Vitamin E for Plump
Formula: Waterproof | Finish: Matte | Colors I tried and love: Dangerous Dolly and Hush Hush Henna
I use both: the lip liner and the lip gloss because when used together these 2 products make an amazing lip-kit.
I’ve now purchased this 3 times and it’s one of the best lip liners I’ve used.
I have no issues with blending – and the best part is that it stays on for hours even after I eat.
I have mixed this lip liner with lipstick and the Buxom lipgloss and it works!
The colors are beautiful and I’ve had no issues with the color descriptions.
3. Maybelline Lifter Gloss, Hydrating Lip Gloss with Hyaluronic Acid, High Shine for Plumper Looking Lips, Petal, Warm Pink Neutral,
Formula: Liquid | Finish: Glossy | Colors I tried and Loved: Sand, Stone, Moon and Peach Ring
This is for anyone who wants lip-plumping but is on a budget.
Maybelline has been my go-to brand when I was in college so I will always try to include at least 1 product especially if they’ve nailed the formula and do what they preach.
The scent is light and it’s not too heavy. It’s pretty buttery and smooth so it is quite comfortable to wear daily.
If you pair it with a lip liner or lipstick, you can bring out the shade even more. I tend to do this since my lips are dual-toned.
4. YBW Lip Plumper Gloss, Plumping Lip Gloss, Plump and Pout Lip Plumpers
Formula: Liquid and Sheer | Finish: Glossy
Okay, I caved.
I saw this EVERYWHERE on Social Media and wanted to give this a try.
I was pleasantly surprised when it ACTUALLY worked.
This is the only lip kit I’ve seen on the market that has a day plumper and a night plumper.
I like that I can carry it with me in my small bag and it’s travel-friendly!
Like all the lip-plumpers, it gives a tingling feeling but it goes away after a while and does not sting that long.
I noticed my lips getting plumper with these so they work beautifully.
The only con is that it tastes a little weird but it’s not something that puts me off so I’m okay with it!

5. Clinique Moisture Surge Lip Hydro-Plump Treatment
This is more of a treatment than a lip gloss, I know – but this really works.
I know it’s not fancy or pretty to look at but I still put this on the list because it actually does the job.
Clinique is a brand that I’ve come to adore in recent years because they actually create formulae that work.
This is more like lip care.
It’s like chapstick but it works on repairing your lips very quickly.
Your lips will stop peeling and cracking if you use this – and I’ve noticed my hyperpigmentation getting less too!
